Employment in France
If you hold a residence permit or a "passeport-talent" visa, you can only work in public or private institutions approved for research or university teaching (with the establishment of a hosting agreement). If you work in a different context, you need to apply for a change of status from researcher to employee. This change of status is done at the prefecture by appointment.
Jobs for the spouses of researchers
The spouses of researchers which hold a residence permit "vie privée - vie familiale" are allowed to work in France in any field they wish. Therefore, researchers' spouses have access to the job market in France, where the legal duration of full-time work is set at 35 hours per week.
France Travail (ex Pôle Emploi)
France Travail (former Pôle Emploi) serves as both the public organisation where you must register as a job seeker and a job search engine offering job offers in all fields.
Find all the information on the France Travail website.

Professional networking
Viadeo et LinkedIn
These two online platforms enable you to create a profile (identity, professional experience, academic background, etc.). Once your profile is online, employers or anyone interested in your profile can contact you.
These networks enable you to create relevant contacts, in relation to your profile in order to make yourself visible on the web and to contact people who might be interested in your profile. You can also post your advertisement, or add external content (website, documents, etc.).
APEC (Association for Executive Employment)
APEC is for all executives as well as young graduates from higher education (from bachelor's +4). APEC facilitates the connection between supply and demand in the executive job market (with a predominance of engineering and research and development professions), provides all information from this market, and offers a range of personalised services and advice.
Feel free to register and make an appointment with an advisor who will accompany you throughout your job search (assistance with creating CVs and cover letters). You can create your CV and upload it directly to their website. Recruiters interested in your profile can then view your CV and contact you.
