If you have just arrived in France, you must complete certain administrative procedures to reside and study in France for 1 year.

First application

Long- stay talent famille visa- less than 1 year

You should validate your visa online within 3 months of your arrival in France on the official website of the Administration Étrangers en France (ANEF)

Your visa validation certificate (attestation de validation) is equivalent to a residence permit, allowing you to study in France for one year.

Long- stay talent famille visa- over 1 year

If you have a talent chercheur visa with residence permit to be applied (carte de séjour à solliciter). You must apply for a residence permit online within 3 months of your arrival in France on the official website of the Administration Étrangers en France (ANEF).

How to apply:

  1. Put together your file with the following list of documents.
  2. Take an appointment at the SAIEC if you wish to be accompanied in submitting your application
  3. After checking your file, you will be accompanied to submit your application online on ANEF.

Renewal

Your visa (attestation de validation) or residency permit is about to expire and you would like to extend your stay in France?

If your spouse is able to renew their residence permit, you can apply to renew it by following the steps below.

The "talent famille" residence permit renewal application must be submitted online on the official website of the Administration Étrangers en France (ANEF), 2 to 4 months before the residence permit expires, after the researcher has submitted his or her application on ANEF.

  1. Put together your file with the following list of documents.
  2. Take an appointment at the SAIEC if you wish to be accompanied in submitting your application
  3. After checking your file, you will be accompanied to submit your application online on ANEF.
